ACT Division Championship - 27 November 2011
Our venue this year was the Queanbeyan Golf Club with the event held on a single day, rather than the 2-day competition held in the past. The objective was to try to attract more players and given the closeness to the National Championships and some very dubious weather the previous day it was considered that this was achieved. With just on 20 players including a couple of new members and the return of some previous members it turned out to be a very enjoyable outing for all.
The course was at its usual challenging best, aided by some gusty conditions on occasions and was in excellant condition considering the rain in the region over the previous day and a bit.
In addition to the usual stroke format of the championships, with some excellent prizes for gross and net results, a putting competition was held with a left-handed putter offered to the player with the least number of putts. Winners on day were:

Lefty/Righty Team Challenge - Yowani Country Club - 16 December 2011
A field of 22 players forming composite Left Hand and Right Hand Teams contested this annual end of year event on a mild early summer day and a course in great condition. Format for the event was aggregate stableford for teams with the following results:
Winners: Sid Farrel & Dave Harris - 74 points
Runners Up: Ron Crooks & Tom Harding - 68 points
Third: Ken Alexander & Dave Butters - 67 points ocb
Fourth: Ken Norris & Greg Besomo - 67 points
